Greetings fellow Hasty P's,
It's OCdt Rosenberg stopping in to say hello from camp Aldershot. Training is going well and has almost completed and I look forward to returning to the Regiment. Hoping all is well.

Looking to put my Grandfathers name on white Battalion list is this list only for soldiers killed in action. My Grandfather was a stretcherbearer or corpman. Would like someone to contact me from his regimental headquarters.

Much work has been done lately to the website. You will note a Members Registry button is now in effect. We are missing the names and locations of so many members. Simply click on the button and fill out the form so that we can maintain an up to date list of all regimental members. It's fast, it's easy and we want to build a data base of former Hasty Ps. Geoff Green, Rod Milne, Guy Yardy, Dave Canty, and the Hookey brothers to name but a few; sign up, we'd love to hear from you.

Doug Calver good to see your name on here. Thanks for the information.Proud on my Dad's service. I am proud of every airman, seaman, soldier who served. As I read History books abour Canada's role in the II world War, I realize the sacrifices that were made. Not onlyi by the military, but their families, and family life. I have met Dutch people, who were liberated by the Canadians, and as I hear their stories it helps me to understand the love affair between the Dutch and the Canadian soldiers. Makes me very proud to be a Canadian.
God Bless you Doug, and all you guys who served and are still here. TAKE CARE. Dave Adams

My Grandfather, William Roy Adams, was stationed here:
1940-43 The Regiment trained in Great Britain with the exception of a brief foray into France where the fierce Blitzkrieg waged by the Germans cost them most of their vehicles and the Regimental mascot, Little Chief. A new mascot Chief Petawawa-Much was taken on strength on October 30, 1940 with the service number C.0001. (Little Chief's number had been C.0000).
He was a Drill Seargeant who taught the young me to fight over in England and to go out on the frontlines. He told us several stories, sadly which I was too young to remember. He died a slow death of Emphysema on January 3, 1990. I have photos of his war memorbilia and look at it often, as well as a photo of him. When I walk by the Regiment, my heart breaks, becuase now, more than ever, I miss him, seeing where he trained. I thank him and his comrades for all they did and wrote a poem for him when he died, to which 99% of the people who read it, weep. Thank you for allowing this webpage to the public. It helps me keep my Grandfather alive in my heart.

I am trying to discover the whereabouts of a former member of the Regiment. His name is Ed Ross. He was from the Trenton area. He joined the Reg Force in the early 80's. He'd be around 49 now. If any one knows anything, I'd like to reconnect with an old friend.

Hello, I was wondering if there is anyway that I could recieve any information on where my father Lieutenant/Capt.John McKibbon was taken in Sicily after he was injured in late July 1943. We know he was wounded on Mt.Etna but we are unsure of where he was taked but he had mentioned a church possibly near a costline. I am going to Sicily and would like to vist this church, if anyone has some ideas it would be greatly appreicated.

plse note the Veterans charter has changed to include militia types. i have lost 90% hearing in 1 ear due to range practice & instruction in the '60s, b4 ear protection was deemed necessary. Veteran affairs has looked after me admirably. see your nearest Legion service officer. you do not need to be a Legion member. good luck!
