Great Site. I made my start with the Regt back in 1983. Brings back a lot of old memories. Proud to have served the Regiment and have been a Hasty Pee. Now serving at CFB Borden with the 3rd Canadian Ranger Patrol Group Headquarters as the RGTQMS.

I have Farley Mowats book 'the Regiment' and his other wartime book
"And No Birds Sang". Both are superb works by one of my favorite authors. I must admit to being a newcomer to Canadian military history. Up to a few years ago-when I read "the Regiment", I knew damn little of the military history of my neighbor to the north. I have been trying to make up for lost time to be sure! I have gotten a badge of the Hasty Pees and mounted it on a brown beret of WW2 style (lots of drape and a brown leather band around). So, All said and done, I am very glad to have surfed on by and found your site. Looks fine!

The good only get better! So goes the Regiment and the web site representing it. Andy your doing a great job.. I see the pictures came out well on the site. I'll take a look through the files for a few more to add to the site. All is well in Virginia, though a bit warm and humid for a Canadian. In this part of the country CamelBack water carriers are part of the kit issue; it's that warm.(avg. 90 deg.+ exteme humidity). All my best to old friends in the Regiment.-Kevin

It's a bloody shame that The Regiment is not Canada-wide/nationally known. I've been going to Loyalist off and on since '94 and had I known The Regiment existed I'd probably be up for MCPL's right know!! :) I came from a Field Engineer Squadron with a proud tradition of success and heritage and I'm damn proud to be a part of one of the historied Units this country, her unfortunate enemies and the world has ever witnessed.

As an ex Hasty Pee from 1974-75, it is good to see you finally on the WEB. Truly the finest Regt in Canada. In honour of my uncle Cpl Edwin(Ted)George Hopkins who has passed away this Apr 2000 at age 81. He served as a "plough jockey" from Sept 1939 to Jun 1946 and served in England, Sicily, Italy, Germany and back home on the Troop trains. May the White Bn welcome him home.
Like to say HI to RSM "Buck Buchann" my ex Sgt from the RCR while serving in Germany with the 3rd RCR.
